Hi all
When I moved into my current home it already had nice Laminate flooring which Lara and Sampson kept slipping on, so I put rugs down everywhere.
Since then I have been diagnosed with an allergy to Dust mites ( which live not only in your bed, bedding but also flooring, sofas ect) all my furniture I had to get rid and buy non dust mite ones like with the sofa I brought a leather one since leather isn't as bad with dust mites.
Anyway my allergies still haven't gone so my allergists asked is there any other soft furnishings I said only the rugs. Since taking them up again my allergies have gone down ( I am that sensitive to them) anyway Lara is slipping and sliding all over the place so I'm going to change the flooring and was going to get solid wood flooring but wanted to know if anyone on here bows if it is non slip and better than Laminate?
Would solid wood be better?

We have solid hardwood floors.
Both animals - 110 lb dog and 8 lb cat- no problems walking, but slipping and sliding when running.
