Taking your dog to Spain?

Post by ZaraD »

Hi all

Me and mom are planning a holiday to sa coma, Majorca, Spain for July we really want to take Sampson with us and the information online is rather confusing can anyone tell me what we need to do in order to be able to take him with us for tow weeks? Also are there any website I can use to find out which hotels allow dogs?

I think you need to have a rabies vaccination to get a pet passport within the EU. The information will be somewhere on the UK gov's website.

As for hotels and dogs, I personally would say look for a self catering cottage / villa as they will be more likely to allow them.

It looks like you need to make sure there vaccinations are up to date and they have had like you say the rabies vaccination and then you can get a pet passport and then it say he has to be microchipped which he is and when returning to the UK he has to be treated for worms I think it said, 24hrs before returning to the UK
