Yellow Ribbon

Post by Nettle »

While the yellow ribbon/bandana/waistcoat for a dog that needs space is a great idea in my opinion, it falters because relatively few people know about it (and in UK a major dog charity AND assistance dogs also wear yellow).

One of my clients tells me that in her area, dog poo bins have a notice on them explaining the yellow ribbon. Consequently people are much more aware about giving dogs space. What a clever thing to do :)

What a great idea :D

Yellow is also the colour used to raise awareness for the disease I have (Endometriosis) so Honey and I could both go around decked out in yellow and really confuse people  .

Great idea.
'Our' local dog park could also benefit from a notice. Maybe even a notice board.

Are they by any chance Space Dogs yellow ribbon posters? My mate Judi runs space dogs and she's done REALLY well getting loads of local authorities to allow her to stick the posters on poo bins.

Shes also running a subsidised training scheme on various council estates to teach people HOW to train their dogs and what sort of things are considered good manners around dogs/dog to dog interaction etc.
