A neighbour has a longhaired GSD who has a lovely straight back - her conformation is more like a rough collie than a show GSD, and I can't tell you how much I prefer it.
I've been struggling a bit, having been hobbling since before Xmas. I think it started when I jumped a ditch and jarred my knee on landing. I've had three different diagnoses so far - bursitis, patellar tendonitis, and Hoffa's syndrome. The physio who diagnosed the latter must have overestimated my fitness levels because having followed the exercise regime he gave me for one day, my hamstrings are killing me
OH is doing morning walks, then taking the car in to work instead of walking to help make up his hours, and I've been doing an afternoon hobble to the park (which I never realised was so hilly before my knee pointed it out to me!). He's been very good, doing his best to go at my pace, though he gives me such a sad look when I say we can't walk the mile to the heath, and then all round the heath, and then home again. And I miss it as much as he does!
