Re: Favorite Dog Names

Post by lucyandbella »

I dislike common dog names....long story why I have two dogs with the 2 most popular female dog names in America. I also like my dogs to have "human" names.

For a boy dog (which I am probably getting next) I am thinking to name him Darwin after Charles Darwin but also because Darwin means "dear friend" which is perfect for a dog.

Girl names:

Essay (Exception to my naming dogs people names rule)
Kai
Ada
Ava
Mila

I will be checking popularity next time also.

Maggie
Shadow
Orion

As to the future - that depends upon the dog's traits and temperament, and what the dog best likes (responds to most quickly).

A few new ones!

Male:
Pan - I imagine a sleek lab or retriever mix, or a small terrier type.
Silas - Any lab, retriever, or pointer type.

Unisex:
Cricket - Imagine for a shy dog or a very quick, clever dog.
