How to get rid of urine odor on rug and hard wood floors?

I have a 3 year old daschund that is house trained. We left her with family for two weeks, while we went on a family vacation. When we got home she began to urinate on my rug over my hard wood floors in my living room. I have her "accidents" under control now. I just need help getting the urine odor out of my rug and off of my hard wood. Any suggestions?

Simple solution stain & odour remover is really good, most pet shops sell it.
