Catchy song, good sentiments, and most of those dogs ain't Staffords.

Very irresponsible of the dog rescue IMO to feature illegal types of dog and pretend they are Staffords.

You know, that didn't even cross my mind as I was watching. I suppose I don't even REALLY know what a pure Staffy SHOULD look like. There are so many out varieties out on the streets that I don't know where the Staff ends and the Mix begins.

The ones I meet always tend to be lovely dogs, it's a shame they have such a bad lot :<

Yes indeed. Sadly, a significant part of my work involves pit types that have been rehomed by dog rescues as staffords  The poor owners have no idea, and then get into trouble through no fault of their own.

Brought a tear to my eye.. lovely dogs, but not for everyone..

and so much irresponsible breeding.. that's why they look so different.. staffies come in all shapes and sizes, eventhoug they are purebreed..

My to lovely staffies (gotten as adults)

Staffies here (UK) are very much one shape one size. Ny neighbour breeds, shows and judges them. I think perhaps in some places the name is used more loosely.

Your Staffies look lovely :)

yes, a show staffie usually looks the same all over, but my point was that irresponsible breeders/breeders that breed for money, will use dogs that don't look according to the breed-standard, so therefor one get purebred staffies in every shape and sizes, so the rescue operation in this may not try to pass a mixed breed for a staffie, it might just be an "ugly" staffie :)

wonderful breed, as long as one respect their history=)
