My new friend

Post by bendog »

Latest addition to my household - a little crested gecko

Not got a name yet and not very good picture as I don't want to handle him just yet - giving him a couple of days to settle in first. Dogs will most definitely not be saying hello ;)

So now I have three raw fed dogs and a raw fed gecko :)

Cute little flame/dalmatian! I have two myself, they're awesome little lizards. My female likes to sit in her crested gecko diet bowl and stuff her face.

Do you feed them the complete repashy stuff wes?
This forum has given me a horror of complete diets - but most people seem to feed the repashy and then supplement with crickets a few times a week.

What a cutie! :D Is she as tiny as she looks in your pic? I love her coloring.

I think it's a boy suzette but haven't checked yet. About 5-6 inches long maybe? Soon as he's settled in I will get him out and get some more photos.

Still needs a name - any suggestions?

Just going by that pic, I'd say boy. Yes, I feed entirely Repashy (the peach flavour!). Occasionally I'll offer dubia roaches since I breed them for the other three lizards (two beardeds and a frilled), but only my girl will eat them. My male is a bit picky - he'll eat only the peach Repashy and nothing else, whereas Denali is a pig and will eat anything she can get her claws on.

Lol

So far I think Draco is my favourite - but he seems too nice and cheeky for that. My little brother suggested kryptonite! I liked Harry but its not very original :/

Ever get the feeling you are being watched?

It's rather unnerving. They don't have eyelids so can't blink.

Deco the gecko?

In Dublin Deco is short for Declan.
