Animal Planet Needs More Positive Trainers

Post by nikkitoni »

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Victoria Stilwell at the Pet Expo in San Diego. It was an absolute dream come true. Listening to Victoria speak is always a pleasure and I have a huge amount of respect for her.

The same day that she was there, another trainer was there and he was promoting his dog training services. The problem with him was that he used the bully type methods that Victoria and others are against.

Today, I learned that there is a possibility that this trainer may get his own TV show. I am very concerned about this, as I have seen him in action and have heard absolute horror stories from people who have worked with him before. In response to this, many positive dog trainers have formed an alliance and a petition asking the networks to keep this man off the air. The last thing the world needs is more out-dated dominant style trainers.

Please, show your support to keep negative dog trainers off the airwaves by signing this petition.

I was thinking along the same lines, it was like watching the Fast Show. Is this some sort of belated April Fool?

I found the beginning part where he's calling the dogs to him VERY offensive.
