I remember when Annie was younger, one of her favorite toys was a soccer ball that she punctured (and deflated). Being deflated made it even more fun, because she could pick it up more easily and throw it.

For my pup, a really good winter jacket. I can't quite reconcile 'hard working terrier' and the quaking little animal that shakes her bum off when she steps outside. Last year was a really snowy one here in the UK, and if it's looking to be similar this year, I definitely need to get her something. I've had my eye on the hurtta ones since ladybug mentioned them, but they're v expensive! http://www.hurttacollection.com/en/pro- ... er-jacket/

I have had a thought, though - whenever it's cold and she shakes she always holds her paw up, which seems pretty natural. It is consitantly the left one that she holds up, though - which is also the one that she broke when she was a baby, and had a screw put in her elbow when they put her back together again. I wonder if the cold causes her some pain there... She does shiver all over too though.

I have a lot of metal in one arm, and it always hurts, more some days than others.

Sorry to hear that, Nettle.

I wonder if I strapped up that particular leg to insulate it a bit, perhaps, it would help. I will do some internet research.

It's Ted's first Christmas this year, he needs a good winter coat (for him to cover in poo  ) which I expect we'll get before Christmas anyway, nightmare finding things to fit Chihuahuas though that aren't covered in sequins etc. But this has made me think I need to work out what he needs as I'm sure his grandparents and auntie will want to get him things, probably some cuddly toys to fight as the two he has are slowly dying

But what Ted will love best is the unwrapping, although I do wonder how he's going to cope with people opening their presents rather than him doing it for them

I've been trying to remember this site since you mentioned the 'chihuahua / sequins' thing, Clare. It's one that does breed specific custom coats. The winter one looks really good:

The only trouble being it's in the US, and not cheap. But at least I finally remembered it! :)

Oooohh those booties have me sitting here giggling like a fool. Not sure what it is about the picture - I think it might be that they sort of look like football (soccer) socks...

Horus has finally found a new company with new food toys, so he will be asking for one from me, his auntie Carolyn, and his grandparents! I am so excited that someone has come up with new designs, we are getting bored of buster cubes, pyramids and maze balls.

He will probably enjoy unwrapping a few new cuddly toys too, he loves unwrapping presents. Last year he helped distribute the ones from under the tree, and every time he gave one to my brother he decided he needed help so undid a corner for him! Had us in stitches, only did it to my brother

I've seen this Minkee, the winter coat has a touch of "All Saints" about it, Ted wouldn't want to be seen with me in my dog walking attire if he was all dressed up like that

They do look good though. I looked at the ones you want for Scout but they don't have a harness slot so even if they fit Ted I'm not sure they would be any good for him. They do look really nice though :D

There's something wrong about being "naked" but for a pair of socks

Of course ... am pulling my slow learner face ... we used to do that with our Jack Russell years ago

In fact I've got a less well fitting harness which I think might rub him/not be that comfortable which would be peeeeerfect over a coat :D There goes the evening spent internet shopping (post puppy training class :D ).

Coats for dogs that look like polar bears is rather redundant, so my dogs are getting the
same thing they get every year. Big fresh raw butcher bones :) And I give another cheer
for no carpeting flooring.

I think Jack is wishing for no seizures...which I could grant that one :(

But I think I will surprise him with maybe a new bed and a new nina ottosson toy.
