Zak George's "Who Let the Dogs Out!"

Post by minkee »

I know we have some Zak George fans around here, his new program is on iPlayer now (UK only) http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... eboarding/

It's for kids, I think, and also I haven't watched it yet, but it's there all the same! Looking forward to watching it :)

Its not necessarily for kids, but it features kids. It has the "if a kid can do it, I can do it" mentality. I'm really upset that it's UK only. It plays on BBC in the US, but I don't get that channel. At least, I was able to follow the behind the scenes from his youtube videos.

He probably would. He's very active on his facebook page and answers emails pretty regularly. Both would be good ways to contact him.

People with secrets are like people with bacon sandwiches -- they shouldn't tell you about them unless they can share! :P

edit: I think I know what it is! But I'm leaving the big reveal to you :P

I've been watching these as I work in the day, and they've all been very sweet - it's great seeing dogs presented in a positive light. By which I mean they say 'hey, dogs are great!' rather than 'this dog is awful, lets turn it around'.

This weeks, however, was brilliant: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... rong_Dogs/ The absolute star of the show is a little girl from Sunderland with her husky Aisha who just ignores her entirely the whole way through. I don't know why but it really made me laugh! The little girl is tirelessly positive and keeps on trying regardless though :)

Apologies to those of you over the pond, maybe it'll show up over there for you sometime!

The second series of this is now out :D I've just started watching episode one: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... e_Tryouts/ I'm only 10 minutes in but it is so lovely to see some well trained, cared for pups! Makes for good viewing if you have some 'bad owner' encounters to counter :)

Haven't been watching because its not available here, but I've been keeping up with Zak George through his YouTube channels. He's said that the kids and the dogs have been amazing to work with.

For those not in the UK try Expat Shield. Been using it to watch Paul O Gradys series about Battersea.
