Ive let my personal life make me so sad and forgetful ... it was my babygirls 3rd Birthday yesterday and I forgot , wahhhhhhh

My sweet darling Gypsy , please forgive your naughty Mummy and know I love you more than words can express
I know you had a good day because every day you get love , cuddles and plenty of fun and playtime you are happy
I promise to make you a chicken cake on Friday , and you , Toff and Teddy can have a doggie tea-party
and i'll nag your Dad to get you something nice as a pressie

Oh yes, I agree--- I thought Annie was at her most perfect behavior and temperament at three. (But then again, she was pretty wonderful at five, too!)

But BC Mum, don't beat yourself up too badly: I NEVER remember to celebrate my girls' birthdays; of course I don't really know their birthdays, I just picked a date that seemed close.... and they don't seem to feel to badly about it. And of course, they've never understood what Christmas is all about, even though they get presents and treats and puzzles and wrapping paper to tear up, and Christmas dinner instead of kibble. If one year we could not celebrate Christmas except in our hearts, I really don't think they would feel too badly, as long as we were together.

There have been very few dogs in my life that had actual birth days known.
Mostly I tell them the day they were brought home is their official day,
but I have to go back through records to remember exactly. The one I forget
without fail is my Rowan, who was hauled out of a shelter in Mississippi
2 days before Hurricaine Katrina hit. You'd think I could remember THAT,
but noooooo.....
