Re: Two female pits - good idea?

What is the age gap? If its a few years, if the potential owner can manage lots of one on one time with each dog, then I don't think its any riskier than any other terrier ***** combination tbh - it IS a risk.. but with a sensible owner who can see and deal with issues as they occur and not leave it...

Yep.. join a cat forum, also there ARE cat behaviourists around - try Karen Wild http://pawprintpets.com/ (her site is mostly dogs but she does do cats too).

If you do do Facebook, Judith Broug who runs Raw Feeding Rebels has a questionnaire going round now about how many people actually get ill..

Re: Quorn meat?

I've been veggie in the past and we eat around 70% of our meals veggie even now. Learn to cook real veg and source protein from eggs, cheese, nuts etc - and THEN.. supplement that diet with meat replacements like TVP, soya, quorn etc. All these things are heavily processed and on those grounds, not ...

Re: Trust me I'm a vet?

I didn't watch but my response to that is too rude to write here! I have noticed that it is, as they say, 'all going off on Facey' though! My timeline is full of folk ranting about it! I have a rubbish immune system, dreadful health and our attitude towards housework here is generally 'if we don't d...

Re: Behaviourist degree qualifications - relevance ?

Ah haaaaaa can of worms.. meet can opener! Right now in the UK at least, anyone can call themselves a dog behaviourist - I actually avoid that term, I am a behaviour consultant, but that could just be semantics, people do call me a behaviourist. I have no degree, in anything (there is a somewhat dev...

Re: Training my Tri-Pawed Puppy!

Ah yes, the post-seminar de-brief, frankly at times, more useful than the seminar itself! Laura - yes K9 Connectables are AMAZING, the company sent me a full set a while back to review and for dogs that don't chew with the intent to destroy they are absolutely brilliant (And I think they are working...

Re: Training my Tri-Pawed Puppy!

Sorry I wrote that reply HOURS ago then got sidetracked by my *insert insult here* sister who INSISTS on ringing me multiple times a day to ask inane questions... apparently the fact I am home is synonymous with 'sat about doing nothing waiting for her to call'... I digress! Yes I will go and see if...

Re: Training my Tri-Pawed Puppy!

Glad you feel at home here, that's what we aim for - get comfy on the sofa and pass round the biscuits! I would given his traumatic history recently, let him sleep where he likes even if that is up with you - work out a way of stopping him galloping up and down stairs of course, but right now, him f...

Re: Obsessed with other animals

Hi Lizalex, Can you condition him to a clicker, so, sit there and click, give him a treat, click, treat over and over until when you click his face says 'treat?'... the other way is to throw a handful of treats on the floor and repeatedly click as he eats them. Once he understands click = treat, the...

Re: Training my Tri-Pawed Puppy!

I am SO sorry that you recieved horrible advice, having done absolutely the right things up to that point and, seeking advice to ensure you were on t...
