Re: Honey game video
Just shows how tiring and fulfilling these mind exercises are. Isn't she having a great time?! I really love this game for her as she's very methodical and calm when she's doing it, she was at it for at least another 10 mins but I ran out of memory so by the time I'd deleted some stuff she was near...

Honey game video
I made a couple of videos of Honey playing her new favourite game :D She really enjoys this and it keeps her occupied for way longer than most food games. The tubes are stuffed with treats wrapped in newspaper and there's also some loose paper balls in the mix. I then add in a few bits on top and in...

Re: When you have to leave your dog...
So sorry to hear that Judy ))))hug(((( I understand about the "not believing" thing, people think I'm crazy when I tell them that my adorable little bundle would like to kill things sometimes   . To be fair Jasper does have eyes that make him look like butter wouldn't melt in hi...

Re: Training to tolerate manhandling...
The way with terriers is to keep them quiet and calm, not to razz them up - they get over-razzed in no time at all, and take blue ages to calm down again. deep down I know I'm right to be keeping things chilled out and relaxed. I hate seeing people razz their dogs up, you the "where's the cats...

Re: Humping and "Fainting"
Thanks Judy, it doesn't seem to be true syncope as she's not losing consciousness :? . I've stopped all humping so far with training sessions instead (or food puzzle/bone) as she seems to get humpy when she's not sure what to do with herself. I will get her vet to have a listen to her heart again an...

Re: Humping and "Fainting"
I think the old bat just overdid it   You could get her heart checked as a precaution. She does have a low grade heart murmur Nettle :( but she can run and spin and dance around the place without ever looking wobbly or distressed the only time we've seen this is when she's humped :? . Sho...

Re: Cookies
They look really professional... in an artisan, handcrafted sort of way :D Oooo thanks Judy that's exactly the look I was going for :D . Really it's slightly crazy how much effort I put into their appearance when the other homemade dog cookies I see online are often quite scruffy and to my eyes una...

Humping and "Fainting"
So twice now Honey has scared the *bleep* out of Mr. Wuf and I by "fainting" after humping. Humping is a fairly recent development with Honey (last year of so) and she initally seemed very confused by it but now get's humpy a couple of times a day. There's a certain amount of redirecting t...

Thanks Ladies :D MPbandmom - I love those shapes too :D I bought a few packs of cutters in the bargin shops and cut a load of sample cookies to find the shapes and sizes I liked best and these were the 3 that worked. I've been looking for more shapes since (like bone/dog shapes and christmas themed ...
