Can't answer until we know which country you live in but if in UK it probably invalidates your insurance if the dog is walked by a minor, and it would be wise to check with the insurers.
Similarly, a minor could not "own" the dog.

Sorry, in an effort to be brief I was a bit TOO brief. :D By ABs I meant antibiotics. Very difficult to treat bowel problems with them as explained above. That's why I recommend a course of canine probiotics from your vet and I'm surprised he hasn't suggested them already. The wood thing - if dogs c...

Puppies are pretty good about fitting around us as long as someone is about most of the time, but here are some considerations (I used to work 12 hour shifts too :D ): Puppies are pretty much a full-time job. You might be around 24/7 but how much of that time is available for the puppy? When your pa...

Bowel problems are notoriously difficult to treat with ABs because the drug is absorbed before it gets to the bowel. This is what my vet tells me. :D You need - from your vet - some canine probiotics. I have found my dogs respond quickly to a big spoonful of plain bio yoghurt with honey twice a day,...

Do take her to the vet. She is within the timescale for pyometra, but it isn't necessarily that - it is common for ***** pups to have a clear discharge after a first season, which is just the hormones over-acting and causing extra cleansing. Also it might be a vulval infection rather than a uterine ...

There are two ways for this to work, and I don't suppose you'll like either of them. One is to rehome one *****. Regardless of how much you love them both, this is for the dog's welfare. The other is to plan your house, yard and life so that they never meet. ***** fights can result in fatalities. On...

You have a scared dog and the best way to stop all this is to stop scaring her. Yes, really. Though you love her lots, what she is saying is BACK OFF I'M SCARED. She needs to be given safe space. To get the picture, go and lie down in the shopping precinct if you dare, and on the floor at home if yo...

Puppy might have a problem, or might just be changing to an adult coat. A vet check for parasites would be a good idea, and if all-clear, there are changes that can be made in diet and general maintenance for coat care. S in L should also have a chat with the breeder, who will know better than anyon...

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, everyone is NOT entitled to criticise with quite such vigour something such as keeping dogs entire, and certainly not with scaremongering. There are fors and againsts with neutering dogs, both with physical health and behaviour, and it is an individual...

Yes it's normal. If you feel the girls would be happier separated, separate them. If you feel the warning growls are not going to escalate into something else, carry on as you are. Exercise them lots - tired dogs are less humpy! You don't have to go out if you can give them lots of running-around an...
