If you and H play tug together and he is agreeable about stopping when you are ready, tug is okay to play :D Rolling around on floor is not so good, especially if done fast and with noise, pulling of tails, slapping etc I AM NOT SAYING YOU DO THIS but lots of people do and then surprise! The dog goe...

All I have to add to that super advice is that honestly it is better if dogs and children do not ever rough-and-tumble, nor dogs and adults for that matter. If you (anyone) behave like a dog towards a puppy, you'll get nipped like another dog. It might seem like fun but it is very bad for the dog/hu...

Frankly, I think PTS is the best option for this dog. He can never live a life as a dog, never interact with other dogs or run offlead. He is a grenade with the pin out. Homes for dogs like this are incredibly difficult to find, and such people mostly already have several dogs and maybe other animal...

Forget the ham - full of salt and preservatives. To settle his tummy, give him some plain bio yoghurt mixed with honey and some apple (apple can be raw or cooked) forget the rice, and cook some vegetables with his meat so he has a stew. You might like to get some canine probiotics from your vet. but...

Worst case scenarios are: kennel cough (which is often more like kennel sneeze) or summat stuck up her nose. If KC it's like a cold with us - not very nice but a healthy dog gets over it no trouble. However it IS very infectious so no exercising where other dogs go. If something up nose, this will e...

ITEC qualified aromatherapist here :D If he craves lavender to the point of licking it then he needs it. One day he will refuse it and then you know he is through that particular need. Mostly aromatherapy oils are unsuitable for dogs, yes even those ones on the bandannas, because dogs have such an a...

Sorry  I didn't take it personally - just my natural brevity made it seem like that. So I must stress - I can agree in a mature manner :D to disagree  and I love you all too  and everybody's opinion is equally valuable and appreciated. As for raw feeding - my dogs had rabbit cassero...

Bingles, don't blame yourself - I've read SO MANY dog books and articles over the years and spoken with SO MANY dog breeders all of whom say oh yes puppy needs milk. I've even known VETS recommend it  And when I ask why, they can't say! Because it's illogical that a weaned animal needs milk. ...
