I had a deaf dog, not so long ago. A pure white English Bullterrier. He learnt the hand signals and was very good at it all. He could be let off, and would come back, which is more than can be said for my fully hearing bullie lol  He was born deaf, so had no way of learning anything unless he c...

We have fosterers on the bullterrier board I go on, and they all find it very very rewarding. Lots of them fail too, and end up keeping the dogs they are just supposed to be fostering lol. Well done you for doing this, I hope you have a rewarding time while fostering your pooch... maybe you could jo...

Can I just commenty on the use of these collars on Deaf dogs. I had a deaf dog, a bullterrier. Two of the worst combinations you could think of lol. Bullterriers are notorious for being hard to train, they seem to just not want to follow any rules set out for them, and have their own agenda mo...

I am so sorry to hear your news Emma, and I feel so bad for you.

 He is at peace now though, and at rest.

Just remember all the things you did for him, and the quality of life you gave him after his bad start.

He is free from his demons, RIP Pteppic.

I would say the same as the above posts. We have an American bulldog, and an English bullterrier, and both know their place in our household. We have never allowed them to growl etc with us or the kids, as this can easily get out of hand and lead to other things, and you dont want that with any dog,...

Don't be sorry, it doesn't bother him or me one bit. He is a fabulous dog, I think everyone should have a deaf dog!! Thanks for your comments on the name though, I thought it was quite clever and I like names to have meanings. I also had a deaf dog, and I tell you the difference when it came to eat...

Well weve had every test done imaginable and they have all come back clear. The bloods have been done, and there is nothing wrong there. The poop has been tested for everything we can do, and they are all clear. He had an xray, and that was fine, no blockage no shading. So the only thing we can thin...
