mix what you are putting in with a bit of cream cheese or peanut butter then freeze it. Most dogs will then enjoy their Kongs. :)

Thank you Cavalier Owner, it is difficult to put into words how we feel, just as it is so easy to read into posts what isn't there. We all do it, including me. Often what is happening in our lives influences how we take posts or write them as well. I have recently had a really nasty attack on me on ...

Cavalier Owner my post wasn't aimed at you or anyone else, it was HOW I TRAINED MY ex racing Greyhound who had been in kennels all his life. How come you picked on my post and nobody elses when everyone was saying the same thing.

Also, my name is Mattie and not Matty.

They will steel any type of dog, they don't have to be pedigrees, these days crosses are getting more popular. Sometimes dogs are stolen for breeding, which is why if your dog is neutered and microchipped you do have some chance of getting them back. Sometimes someone will take a fancy to your dog a...

Why is it sick? When my children were at school quite some years ago, I used to do this regularly, I won't know though because too many are being stolen.

I do not believe that you cannot take into consideration their past life, especially if they are cruelty cases because with cases like that you have to work at the dogs own pace and what they are comfortable with. I have 5 rescue dogs, 2 have been abused and if you take into account their past like...

Take a grooming course so you can groom her yourself, you can also do mobile grooming and go to the dogs homes instead of the owners taking the dogs to a groomer. Not all groomers are kind to the dogs in their care, you trust the groomer to handle your dog in a kind, positive way but a lot don't. As...

Sometimes when a dog attacks another for what seems to be no reason to us there is a medical problem with one of the dogs, I would take all the dogs for a full vet check, including blood tests, before doing anything else. If all dogs are fit and healthy, the look for a good trainer/behaviourist who ...

I adopted a 3 year old ex racing Greyhound who had lived all his life in kennels and it didn't take me long to house train him, the most important thing is being consistant. No point in doing it one day then hit and miss the next, that sends mixed messages to your dog and they get confused. Outside ...

I have had this several times with rescue dogs, they do get over it as long as everytime they go in nice things happen. How you handle them getting into the car makes a difference as well, keep it low key even if you have to pick her up. Rescue Remedy just before you are going to put her in the car ...
