Re: Raw food diet question
No, Connor has so many allergies, I want to add stuff slowly to make sure he doesn't have any issues with some stuff. I think it will be more cost effective than buying kibble every week. I read whats in those bagged foods and don't like all the meals and cereals and junk that are in them. The vet t...

Re: Raw food diet question
Thanks for the tip. Um, I'm thinking that I'd give them kibble in the morning and the raw diet for dinner and maybe eventually go to only raw and no kibble.

Re: Raw food diet question
Cool, thanks for the tip. I will give them a wing in the morning for breakfast and see how they do. Do you have a recommendation on how many to feed them? Ozzy is 70lb chow/gsd mix and Connor is a 15 lb min pin. I'm thinking that Connor should have maybe two and Ozzy three or maybe four. They are sm...

Re: Raw food diet question
Perfect! Thanks so much for that info. I read Leahs post on this, I remeber seeing this info there, but couldn't find it. Well, tonight they had boild chicken breast, baby carrots, broccoli, red apple (cored but not peeled), and the leftover white rice and cooked ground beef. Didn't want it to go to...

Re: im excited!
Didn't know they had those, maybe it's a good thing I didn't take them... lol. I don't know what all's out there, I look at regular collars and harness'. Those others anger me so I don't even browse them.

Re: Potty Patch
We have wood floors in the bedrooms and the office and ceramic tile every where else. We tried the pads and he'd wee and poo everywhere but on them. I tried cleaning up some of the wee with one of the pads and that didn't work. Still wee'd everywhere else. I think next pay day I am going to buy the ...

1st semi-raw meal
Well, I made the boys their 1st meal tonight. Ground beef (cooked), white rice, broccoli and carrots (steamed crisp). Connor isn't sure about the veggies, but is eating the beef and rice, Ozzy is on his second helping. I only gave Ozzy about 1c and Connor about 1/2 c to start. Connor seems to be lik...

Re: im excited!
That's wonderful! I hope your paper can educate alot of people on that issue and change some others from using them and going with a more positive method for training. I was at Wal mart the other day and saw four hounds in a cage in the bcak of a pick up truck with large black collars on them and th...

Re: Poo question
Thanks Duf, I am cooking them some rice, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots (steamed crisp) with some ground beef and chicken. I am going to finish off the kibble I have here and start them on a raw diet and see how that works for them as they seem to have different issues. Again, thank you for all y...

Re: I think I'm in trouble
I have read all the posts here getting caught up on everything. You have done a wonderful thing bringing her home. I had tears in my eyes reading alot of what you wrote about her and what had happened to her. I really hope they find the person/people responsible for this. My heart is filled with joy...

Re: Potty Patch
That they are! Really scary sometimes. I thought about that too, but Connor is sucha diva sometimes, he won't go out in the morning when the dew is on the grass. And Ozzy, well, he's Ozzy. He'd sleep out there if I let him, and the chow fur is nasty when it's wet... I've thought about trying to litt...

Re: Poo question
no treats, well, when they get their meds they get bill jacks becuase it's soft and I can push the pill inside it. but I am on a real tight budget right now and have been changing their food every week as something is on sale or I have a coupon for it. That's what has set it off. The little one, he'...

Re: Poo question
Thank you for the info. I will get some pumpkin today and mix it in with his food. He had a normal stool today, firm but not hard and no blood at all. He is still very energetic. My other baby, Ozzy, I noticed today that his poo was not solid at all. Like pudding. Will the pumpkin help with that, too?
