Can I just so thanks for your suggestions about the kong. Last night I give it ago. I made dinner a bit later tan usual so she was really hungry and put her dried food inside, with a little bit of liver on the edge to get her interested. It was fantastic to see her rolling it around and throwing it ...

One other thing if she is dragging you across the road, when I first had Bella and wasn't that confident with her around other dogs I used to walk her on a Halti head collar, and have a harness on her as well. I used to leave the seat belt loop attached, its short so didn't get in the way when walki...

I have the exact same problem with my 2 year old GSD. I reward her for calm behavour with little bits of Sauage, her favourate food (I keep this treat only for meeting dogs). To start off with (3 weeks ago) you had to stick the sausage under her nose before she would notice it. Now you can break the...

Help with my Kong
Can any one give me any tips on training my dog to use a kong.
She has all sorts of foody toys, Kongs, puzzle balls etc, but she gets board after 30 seconds. We have tried putting cream cheese in her kong, and she loves it only if we hold it for her, other wise she doesn't want to know.

German Shepherd not eating
My 18month German Shepherd doesn't like eating that much. When we got her 3 weeks ago we were told to feed her 2 times a day 160g of Arden Grange dry adult food as this was what she was on. The first week was ok but she is now eating only 130-140g x2 a day. We have tried all the different flavours a...

sofa lover
My dog seems to be picking up a new habit. When every she is left down stairs she decides to sit on the sofa, in the exact place my boyfriend (her favourate person in the world) sits. This a new thing she has started doing over the last couple of days. I find it a bit strange as she pays no attentio...

I am looking for some one in the oxfordshire area with a well trained dog who would be willing to do some dog meeting with me and my 2 year old German Shepherd. She has little experience with other dogs so gets very excited at first. Ideally it would be a dog which doesn't bark at others as she some...

Attention
As well as having problems with dog aggresion (as previously posted) we have noticed that our shepherd will rarely focuse her attension on us for more than a fer seconds, and when out on a walk it is impossible to get her attention. We have tried, ans still are using clicker training and treating he...

Thanks for your advise, that is the way we are trying to train her, it's just good to hear that the methods are working for someone else, as some times you feel like you aren't making any head way. When we first got Bella from the rescue centre (5 days ago) we were told that she was 5-6 and had been...

unsocialised German Sheperd
I have a 2 year old sheperd who has had no socialisation with other dogs. She leaps and barks at them when ever she sees them. She isn't aggresive unless they bark at her first, and she seems to be worse with smaller dogs. Any ideas on how to get over this as is is causing problems when we take she ...
