Re: Help-Please this is urgent
Hi Terri, Nature's Miracle is really good at getting out the smell and the stain as I think it has enzymatic stuff in it to break down the urine. But if he's peed on actual carpet, you may need to get at the underlying pad in order to get the smell out once and for all. That's expensive, so let's ho...

Re: Puppies!
Pennywhistle, if you can merely foster a puppy -- a sweet, cuddly, floppy baby with oversized paws, puppy fur and sweet puppy breath --- then you're a stronger woman than me!  I suspect though that the reality would be closer to that of my sister who has been "fostering" (uh huh...

Re: please don't let my dog be killed
I signed the petition. As a lawyer (albeit retired), I thought it might help to throw in some legal language about what is required or the sort of proof that constitutes evidence. I hope it makes them sit up and be wary of doing something rash. Please keep us updated about Lennox's situation. And, t...

Re: The words Mr Kipling
That is beautiful. And so apt. Thank you so much for sharing it. I feel that "tear" this morning in particular after a mad, panicked dash to the vet ER. All the symptoms pointed to a mini-stroke or paralysis from a spinal or neurological issue, but thankfully, it was just a dangerous react...

Gorgeous! Simply gorgeous! I'm a fellow GSD owner and nothing makes me happier than seeing GSD photos. One of my old GSDs looked a lot like your Jersey; my current one like your Buckeye, only more red. How old are they? I'd love to see more photos if you have any.

Re: best kind of dog food
I feed my dogs Natural Balance but I'm not attached to it; if there's a better food out there, I'll buy it after mostly switching from Science Diet. (Dogs get a little bit of w/d [contains corn :(]to help with digestion.) My Poodle, while on Science Diet, kept biting her feet and scratching herself...

Re: Abby - My beautiful Orange Dog..
Oh Emmabeth, I'm so, so sorry. While it may be the kindest thing to do for her, I know from personal experience that that is little solace or consolation when one's heart is breaking. I send you the biggest hug, and vibes of inner peace and strength to both you and Abby. I will light a candle for he...

Re: Bringing in a new dog ??
Hi PelicansTwo, I'm so sorry about the passing of your dog. It's really painful and difficult to get over, for both owner and fellow dog. What I would suggest when you introduce the new dog to BillyJoe is to bring them both to neutral territory and let them slowly meet each other. Don't force it on ...

SarahJayne, as Mattie said, Photobucket is the way to go. Just go to WWW.photobucket.com, open an account, check the settings for the size of photos you want, then upload them (often en masse) from your computer. The site will provide you with the IMG codes for posting on a board. You copy them, the...

Re: best kind of dog food
I'm kinda obsessed with dog nutrition and spent a lot of time over the 10 or 12 years focusing on what is in dog foods and what is good dog food. During that time, I've gone through a *lot* of diff. kinds of dog foods. In my ideal world, I would prefer to do raw (preferably the "raw prey" ...

Re: Bonjour from Paris !
Welcome SarahJayne! I grew up between England and France, but living mostly in Paris. I even graduated from HS there before coming to the US for further education and eventually staying here. What's the "ethological" method precisely? I understand it's a non-violent, positive training meth...

Oh My Gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <swoons from the cuteness overload> OH MY GOSH, I want to squeeze her and hug her to death! I love that first photo in particular, because she looks not only so adorably cudly but the other colours really contrast with her coat and face. Adorable. I'm also a sucker fo...

Re: Mud Bath for baby and ME!
Josie, lol at the "eco paint job." It took me forever to wash all that out of his fur. Meanwhile, I myself looked like something out of the Swamp Monster or a zombie movie. But, as my friends keep telling me, mud baths are good for the skin. Here are some more photos I took of my boy...

Re: Episode 217 - Feisty Females - May 15
Hi Victoria, I was wondering, which dog was the first one? Watching the dogs' interaction and remembering your comment at the beginning about the importance of introducing a new dog on neutral territory, it seemed as though Nyla was the first one and that Ellie was brought in later. Nyla seemed more...

Re: Questions about Tracking
Fundog, thank you so much for answering my questions. And sorry there were so many.
Emmabeth, my neighbors already think I'm mental! lol. The only problem with your method is that it assumes I'll be able to STOP eating the hotdogs and leave some left for Zola.
