It all seems so sensible! If only there were some way we could get 'The Others' to adhere.

Nettle, I'm sure it's detailed somewhere or other on this forum but I've not seen it; what sort of dogs do you have & what sort of work do they do?

I just thought of a couple of other little things too - when she knows I have treats or a toy on me and so on, she tends to follow me around, and sticks close - especially indoors, and also outdoors if she doesn't have a ball to play with. Wonderful advice! Thanks so much. It's nice having a plan of action - makes me feel much more confident :) I'm going to have to go right back and read up on recall - she got it so easily when she was a tiny puppy, and wanted nothing more than to be with me anyway. I have a 16 month old Patterdale terrier, called Scout. She has been really good up until now, adores training, is very bright and attentive, and loves to play with a ball.
