I agree with Fundog. BT are hardy little dogs and most modern utility rooms are quite warm enough in winter. If he has a big enough crate it can be padded out with thick warm bedding and he'll be as cosy as anything. I disagree with those who say he should be up with you during the night. If he has ...

I was interested in this topic because I have a collie/rottie cross about 3 years old, whom I've had for six months. I've got to have a foot operation mix October and have been thinking of ways to have her walked to ensure sufficient exercise. One alternative is the local outdoor doggie day care cen...

Aggression lead - off lead fine!

Now that my rescue dog has settled in various characteristics are coming forward. I posted about training classes and we have now stopped them. She goes to an open air doggie day care centre and she is fine there playing with the dogs. In the park she accepts other dogs sniffing round her although s...

In the meantime this week I have consulted an animal communicator who, with the barest of info from me as I am rather skeptical about such matters, came up with information so true to Dulcie that I have taken her comments on board. She said that she was overwhelmed with the other dogs and felt unsaf...

They are both outdoors but one is on a big field so not so much of a problem and the other one is in rather a confined area outdoors. she has achieved KC bronze and is good enough to do silver. Some of the others are on gold so are working off lead. Any exercise with a bit of fun in it sets her off....

Not sure whether to continue training classes

I have a collie/rottie mix ***** for 5 months now. Very sweet with people but initially very growly with other dogs but would hide away from them. i took her to two training classes every week with different organisations to help her socialising. However she had got worse with other dogs as she has ...
