Re: Ted

Quick 7 second vid, I need to catch more of this, they do it most mornings at home when we get back from a walk  http://youtu.be/N3R0RJ1-y24 I do have to keep an eye on it as Ted can still get overexcited at chasing Ella, although only once have I stopped them and seen her go "thank goodne...

Re: Vent!

I do understand why, but I hate the assumption that just because 5 dogs live here, we are automatically the guilty ones. We've been accosted by 3 different people round the block and accused of leaving dog poo everywhere and it is absolutely 100% NOT us. I had some woman in Cornwall open her window...

Re: Peeing in her sleep

You can just use a white vinegar solution to clean the bed, the vinegar will evaporate pretty quickly so the smell doesn't linger too much (I prefer the smell to chemical cleaners anyways but it does make me want chips  ).   I use white vingear (well I did when Ella was doing r...

Re: Guests, tomorrow

- Pre-warn them that he's nervous around people, may bark at them, and to just turn their backs on him and ignore him Not sure how dog savvy your guests are but back when I was a child I used to visit a cousin with two very barky GSDs. I've no idea what their intentions were as I can't remember it ...

Re: Help! Severely traumatized rescue dog.

He doesn't growl, doesn't pull away, just sits very still as if trying to be invisible. Just to add to what Nettle has advised, basically what you are describing is a dog who is so scared he "shuts down" in these situations. It's important to know this as people can describe this behaviou...

Re: Self Medicating

Good prompt Amy.

I need to do some reading up on this because now we finally have a garden I intend to plant a herb/grass patch at some point for the dogs to help themselves to.

B*tch pants!

I was going to private message a few people but I thought this might be a topic that others would find helpful. Rather than wait for Ella's first season to descend I thought I'd get a bit organised and order a couple of pairs of b tch pants (might get myself some whilst I'm at it   ). ...

Re: Vent!

I HAVE to vent about the kitchen spam again, it's totally out of control. AND I have to actually start looking for a new kitchen soon (our kitchen in our new place needs replacing, for a million reasons, including it has NO kitchen drawers, how is that possible  ). I'm going to make a point o...

Re: Ted

Taking it in turns to chase, Ted doesn't get so excited by chasing her now and is self handicapping more so she is more comfortable too.

Here's something I thought I'd never say but I'm praying she has a UTI Rachel. Let us know how you get on.
