Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

Bax has a hole in his leg O.o not sure how it happened or when he got it but he has a very shallow obvious hole in his leg that he keeps licking. hes cleared a considerable patch of fur around the area, almost his entire upper leg. no blood, no pinkness just a chunk cut out of his leg with a wide ba...

Re: Helping choose

Lovely response to my post LoQ, those are my thoughts exactly. :D Dittoing Judy on lurchers and greyhounds. or.... reiterating my previous point. get an adult/senior. bax was a bucket of energy a year or two ago but now he mostly just sleeps on my futon. we walk slowly in a stop and sniff for about ...

Re: Helping choose

I hear cries for help over destructive and violent and fearful dogs they've had since puppies far more than i hear it for rescue dogs. not that rescue dogs are perfect i just think you might have a better sense of what the end product wi...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

Mother’s day and asparagus falls to the floor. Both dogs went for it. 13 lb ratty and 85lb ridgeback. Bax ripped her nose wide open. She backed off bleeding and thankfully her owner didn’t object. Both dogs are back to all love and snuggles. Sigh. Edit. But. I have a five year old and three old huma...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

i think bax is telling me something and it's time i listened. he loves being at the nursing home, schmoozing for treats and affection..... but today as i packed up the car to get ready to go he must have heard the jingle of the keys because he just sat in the middle of the floor and shook. this car ...
