Re: Catch me if you can
I don't know all that stuff about the change of behavior in neutering and such buuut... Do you use a clicker? It might help a lot. Using a treat is great, but sometimes dogs are more happy being rewarded with play. I found these couple videos by this great dog trainer that might help you, I figured ...

She does, doesn't she? I always looked for a word to describe her young puppyish face.Erica wrote:Sonata has such a baby-face. <3

Re: Beagles parents? Or any 'experienced' to help a newbie
If your pup is food motivated I'd say it's best to use food. If you're worried about overfeeding you can take some portions out of your pups daily meal. Calling your pup by her name then giving her a trip will help her learn her name and will make her realize that you want her attention when her nam...

Re: Jindo and Recall
:I I know this is a week old but I just wanted to let you know from my own experience with my dogs. I haven't trained my dogs for off leash walking or calling them back. Gong-ju will always always always come back, even if it isn't right away after we call her, she will always return to my side. Son...

Re: Tricks
My dogs thinks doing tricks are a real drag.
I can try making Sonata do something, she'll do it for a split second to get the treat but after that she'll say, 'alright, I've had enough.'
Then go out to run around on the grass.

Re: Urgent - need help!!!!!
Haven't they been living together for 3 years already without a problem? I don't get why dominance would be a problem now. And from what you told us, Libby doesn't even fight back and seems to be submissive so I don't see why the attacks should continue.

Re: Urgent - need help!!!!!
I agree as well about taking your dogs to a vet and explaining the situation. Don't leave a single detail out.

Re: Urgent - need help!!!!!
It may be because they're both female but I can't be sure.. Exactly what is the situation when Boo attacks? When they are eating? Walking? Just sitting around? Etc. When you do feed them, do you feed them together or separately? You should walk your dogs and take them out to exercise more often beca...

Re: Question
Look closely the next time you catch her lying on her chest. That looser skin shifts as the joints bend and straighten, so it can be misleading. I bet it is under the point of her elbow. My GSDs all had that too, and it meant nothing serious. I'm taking her to the park today so I'll keep a close ey...

I was thinking callous but the location of it is way off for it.

Re: Problems on leash with new people(kids)
Ah, I share similar problems but isn't so bad anymore. What I normally do is distract my dog before she notices the people ahead or when she does notice, turn her around and walk the other way for awhile until she calms down or cross the street.
