Re: short walk tonight!
Thanks Mattie. With her though, she is hard to 'tire out' at home and I like her to get some exercise. She doesn't play with toys at all. I put one in front of her and she just stares at it. She has chased after a ball, but even that was just the once. She knows a click means a treat, so its great o...

short walk tonight!
Wasn't out long with evie tonight. Went out got to the end of the road and met a dog coming round the corner. Dodged that one with treats, but then at the top of the road met a shitzu head on. Eeek! She was ok but then the dog started to bark and that was it - spin city... went along a bit and saw a...

Who said Terriers were stubborn?? LOL
As the proud owner of two Border Terriers myself, I love watching this ladies videos (think she is about 18 years old). She clicker trains her dogs and posts her vids on You Tube. You may have seen this one before, but if you haven't you might want to look. Its great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Jacksdad (and I am sorry to hijack your topic Joss!) but is the DVD by Patricia very good? I was considering buying it.
Many thanks

Re: How do I know if my dog will react?
Hi Jakesmom You aren't on your own, I feel exactly the same as you. So hard to gauge isn't it. Evie is fine with other dogs sniffing her bottom, no problems there, but if they go to her neck she is fine for ten seconds, she'll stiffen (perhaps she gives a low growl) but if the other dog doesn't take...

Re: someone forgot to tell jack he is a reactive dog today
Wow great reply Jacksdad, you've come so far. Like you've I have been working with Evie for ages. I have had her 2 years and have been working like this for over a year now. To be honest and I can't believe I'm saying this after all this time but..., she is better than my other dog on the lead in so...

Re: Double Trouble - Two puppies at once?..
Hi, everyone. I came across this thread because obviously I am having problems with the 2 puppies I have. I have to say that I already had the puppies before I actually found out that getting 2 puppies (and they're both female, littermates almost 2mos old) would pose a lot of problems, not just for...

Re: someone forgot to tell jack he is a reactive dog today
Wow that's brilliant news. You have come so far you must be so proud of your dog and well done you! My biggest fear is off lead dogs. How did you know when the time was right for him to start mixing with other dogs? Well done again on all that you have achieved.
