I got the Bach flower stuff today. It has a mix of 4 things in it, the star of bethlehem, and something for allergies and depression and then some rescue remedy. I gave him some as soon as I got home. Vet gave me some prednisone for him too but I am gonna wait a few days and see if the Bach stuff he...

Re: vomiting, stress and depression
First the licking. The vet first thought it was OCD behavior. So we were putting bitter tasting stuff with lidocaine on it to discourage the licking. Then one of my dogs was sick and I was so focused on her that I kind of let his let slide b/c it wasn't as serious as Darlas cancer and trach. I know,...

Re: Can dogs "love"?
I don't know technically if dogs love as humans do but I like to think they do theoretically they can. Here is my opinion, and its just my opinion, not meant to offend in anyway.. I believe when my dogs come curl up next to me when I am sad or sick, it is out of love. When they jump and wag their ta...

Re: New here and need advice
Thanks. Hello Mattie My vet and my hubby think I need to get my dog a dog... He needs his own pet I guess. The vet thinks he is depressed and he needs a new member of the pack. I don't think that its a great idea yet, but maybe it would help.

Re: vomiting, stress and depression
I had been feeding him Purina One Lamb and Rice, then the vet had me switch him to Science diet duck and potato for his skin. I have been mixing it to get them switched over. They have food out all day but usually don't eat until around 5pm and then off and on until bed time. They just don't really ...

vomiting, stress and depression
My dog Jake has been vomiting clear mucoous, somtimes yellow liquid once or twice a day for the last 2-3 weeks. It started about a week after one of my other dogs died, also about a week after putting him on some meds to deal with his OCD licking. We took him off the meds thinking that was the probl...

New here and need advice
Hello everyone. I am new to this and I need some help. I have 2 dogs (down from 3) and one of mine seems to have developed an obsessive licking problem in the past year and depression since his "sister" passed a month ago. He has licked big spot on his front leg raw and won't stop. The vet...
