Re: Bones to clean canine teeth

I live in UK and was always under the impression that dogs should not eat chicken bones, because of the chance of them splintering and causing injury to the dog.

Opinions please....

Does anyone know of any research in this area ?

Re: Duke's Problem:(

Hello chubbypuppy, It's just an idea, one that will certainly do Duke no harm and may help. Our dalmation has a very similar problem, and as a matter of interest so does my brother. My brother has a severe allergy to gluton (found in wheat and grains) and cannot eat wheat or grain at all, and our da...

Re: Double Trouble

Hi Furfrenzy, I was in the same position as you, with 2 dogs, one calm one crazy. I know how hard it can be to leave one dog behind, trying to get out of the front door is damn near impossible. What I did, was wait until the calm one was in the garden, or in another room, and then I would take the n...

Re: NO WALKIES....

Hi harry Just a few thoughts Has she been frightened by anything, when and if, you have ever managed to get her past the end of the road. Is it the same family set-up as your last home ? Could it be that she thinks your returning to your old house, and is disappointed that you,re not. Or have you tr...

Re: Horrified and Mortified

Oh fundog. Do I know how you feel!! When we took on our last dog (German Shepherd) he had been allowed to approach every person he saw, for a fuss ---- and of course most people were more than happy to oblige, as he was an absolutely gorgeous fluffy puppy who resembled a cuddly toy. By 12 months of ...

Misunderstood body language

I apologize in advance for the length of this post, and I hope I've posted in the correct place. I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am to have found this forum, because we had certainly misread the body language of our new dog "Jake" (5 yr old German Shepherd). And we have also l...

Hi from the Midlands, England

Hello all I'm Sue, mom to Heidi (11 year old Dalmation) who we've had since she was 1 yr old, and Jake (5 yr old German shepherd) who we had from the rescue centre last week. I was really pleased to find this forum, as I was soooo impressed with what I'd seen from Victoria on the TV programme, and h...
