lol. Molly is funny about fall. She loves chasing the squirrels this time of year as they're fattened up and slower with the impending hibernation. The lawn is also fascinating and the usual 5 minute potty break takes 15 this time of year as she has to smell every area the squirrels have buried thei...

NTR: It's Fall!

I'm so stoked that it's fall again, leaves are turning here, bright yellows and reds and oranges. It's getting colder, the heaters have come out of storage at my house, it's time to cover the A/C and get all the summer porch furniture put away. I'm looking forward to raking leaves (with Molly's help...

Molly was so good, only had two little scuffles, a dachshund started one of them and she got a little too up close wi...

they ask about human toddlers in potty training because the smell of diaper or whoopsie big kid undies will confuse a dog into thinking it's ok to potty in the house. basically its REALLY hard to potty train a dog when also training a human child, just the same as it's hard to train two dogs. Which ...

bah, i spaced /worded it badly the gentle leader is a great tool, just not right for my headstrong dog. the martingale collar is also great, she just grew out of the need for a "no slip" collar the "training collars" pronged and battery operated were mostly ignorance and laziness...

check his paws, he might have a burr or something stuck in his toes, could have stepped on a thorn or have a sliver. He may also have cracked or broken a toenail. It may just be muscle stiffness. take it easy for a couple days, if it doesn't seem to be getting better call your vet. Or you might give...

it's safe to let your pup do lots of things, people say not to as a blanket statement, it's best not to let them play too much where other dogs frequent, such as parks and pet stores. and best to carry them when you visit the vets office, but your yard should be fine. also, when you're out and about...

Poor Molly has moved so many times... I make it a game for her, keep her familiar things handy, her crate and bowl, her blankets covered in her hair. I keep her on a leash in the new house and walk her around like its no big deal. walk her out and around the yard. let her smell things, then I let he...

not sure about which harness 'she' used however, standard sled-dog harness' would work great, just be sure that if you're going to train your husky to pull that you also work on not pulling at appropriate times. such as the dog wears the sled harness when pulling and only pulls on command and wears ...

I agree with Mattie, BC's are very energetic, intelligent dogs and are well known for causing mischief when they're bored. Be sure to know where your dog is at all times, even as an adult a dog is basically a toddler, know where they are in the home and tune an ear to listen for things that sound &q...

if it's her first there can be exceptions to the rule. It can last longer or shorter depending on breed.

If you're really concerned you can call your vet

just like us humans, some of us are lucky with only a couple days, others are cursed with upwards to 10 days... egghh
