Poop in the house
So, I came home tonight and found poop by the front door. I haven't had poop near the front door since my boy had his diarrhea, and I could understand why he pooped indoors with that. But this poop was firm and not runny or soft at all. It was almost a cake-like texture (sorry if TMI lol) I don't kn...

Oh wow... I thank you for posting that! I had NEVER heard of that, and I'm glad I have. It's a wonderful way to look at the dog/human relationship

Re: Raw Food Diet
Ok so I am hoping someone will be able to help me with this... I have made up my mind to switch to the raw diet, but I'm scared and nervous. Would someone here be able to give me some ground to jump from? Perhaps provide me with the first weeks menu? Something I can go off of with the right measurem...

Re: Cesar Millan
@jacksdad - I see where you're coming from. I guess discipline is different to each person. For me, discipline isn't CMs way, but just letting my boy know at the time of the action that what he's doing is not acceptable. Like, I impliment body blocking a lot. I take that as a form of discipline. I g...

Re: Cesar Millan
I was trying to find this thread that I started and I forgot where I posted it lol I hope I didn't stir anything up on here bringing up CM. I am just trying to reinforce some things with my dog, and was curious what others thought of him. I personally like Victoria's approach better myself because I...

Re: Scratching!!
For some reason, somehow the scratching has subsided! I do not know HOW or WHY, but he barely scratches anymore. I am wondering if it is seasonal. I live in Oregon and the weather constantly changes, and I do think I remember him being more scratchy when the weather is sunny and nice versus rainy an...

Re: Raw Food Diet
Nettle/Runlikethewind- So it's ok if your dog grazes a little on wild grass? He was doing that this morning before I even started the raw diet. I did give him a raw egg this morning, with the shell and he had no idea what to do with it lol I think he thought it was a ball cause he got all excited fo...

Re: Raw Food Diet
I want what is best for him, and I know this is something that he needs. Another question I had, was I was doing some looking around on the internet last night on the diet, and I'm getting two different opinions. One side says that dogs should not eat vegetables with this diet, that it should be 80%...

Re: Raw Food Diet
I am still unsure on whether I want to start my dog on raw food. Did anyone go through family being concerned about it? Has anyone's dogs gotten sick from eating the raw food? I think that is my main concern. Not the handling of the raw food or whether I or my daughter will get sick ( I'm a pretty g...

I don't usually watch his show, I usually watch Victoria's. But, I wanted to see what his show was all about. There are some things I liked but didn't like. I wanted to get other's opinions on his show... What does everyone else think of the methods he uses? Do you use some of his methods on your do...

Re: Scratching!!
Thanks Nettle :) I will read through that book of a thread tonight after work. This might have been answered in there, but I want to ask it now before I head to work.. will the transition from kibble to the raw diet cause him to have loose stool or diahrrea? And how SHOULD I transfer? Do I need to d...

Re: Scratching!!
Nettle- There aren't any stinging plants around where I live. I think I have ruled out fleas as I can't see any on him, and he's getting a monthly does of Frontline Plus, which I will continue to keep him on. As far as the raw diet, is it hard to make sure your dogs gets all the nutrients he needs? ...

Re: Scratching!!
@runlikethewind - When I took him at the beginning of March for his check up, I brought up the fact that he scratches. According to the vet, he had flea dander. I did not see any though, and I checked pretty good, but as I said he's brindle colored and it's kind of hard to tell. That and I did not h...

Re: Raw eggs?
LOL thanks Nettle
I know he doesn't need food every time he whines and looks at me. I just got him 3 months ago so I'm a little unsure about how often they fed him before and I just didn't want him to go hungry. He's definitely going to get some changes lol
