Concern about Blackie's Behavior
I have posted messages before about Misty and am happy to say that she is housetrained. She gave me one week to spare before moving into our new home with fenced backyard. Problem this week and especially this weekend has been with my almost 4 year old flat coated retriever, Blackie. She and M...

Will Potty Training Ever End?
I have written on here about my dog, Misty, whom I adopted as a stray the end of April. She has done really well with many things except potty training. I have left her out of her crate and night without any accidents. I do tend to get up once to let them out which I know helps. Have gone several da...

Re: Walkeez Harnesses - For Sale
Choke free comes into play when they pull. My dogs still pulled with these harnesses and they just did not work for me.

Re: 4 month old puppy urinating on blankets
My dog Misty has done this twice while I have been housetraining her. I use a bell hung on my door and she has learned to ring it when she wants to go out. Both times she rang the bell. But since I had just come in from taking her out, I ignored her a couple of time. NOT GOOD :o The first time she R...

Re: Crate Barking!
I went through that with my newest dog, Misty. Tried everything you did without any success. As a last resort, I got a DAP plug in system and have had no problems since. I also got a spray that I spritz on a couple of times when I wash her crate pallet. If I don't do that, she barks and carries on i...

Re: Yeah, Misty!
Thanks for the advice, Mattie. Am planning on her reverting a bit. Plan is to board them for a couple of days while I get all furniture in, get ALOT of unpacking done and nice new fence installed for backyard. Bring them home and let them come into the house on their own (through garage with door cl...

Yeah, Misty!
Just have to give out a shout - Misty has gone 2 weeks without a potty accident!!! :D She is even letting me sleep until my alarm goes off in the morning instead of being my rooster. Looking back, I have had her almost 3 months and never thought we would reach this point. Kept setting short te...

Re: The Furminator?
I use my furminator on my GSD, and I swear before I got it (paid $11.00 for mine on e-bay) I was ready to take a garden hose to the inside of my house and wash the hair away. This thing is a great investment towards a clean freaks sanity  I know exactly what you are saying. Misty's hair can be...

Re: The Furminator?
I love mine for both my JR mix and flat coated retriever. Misty (JR) was shedding like crazy for about 6 weeks and this helped me keep some control over it. Check out Amazon before buying one at PetSmart. I got mine (reg $54-55) for half the price.
