They can't see each other--they hear each other which is apparently enough for them... and this has nothing at all to do with my predicament, but as I'm typing this my boy Bru is sleeping with his head propped on my leg and he's snoring like crazy--even louder than the fiance does!! It tickles the h...

I think they are at our park too--just like food, treats, cigarettes, and alcohol. Unfortunately people at ours don't follow the rules :(

Bark bark bark

So we have our three boys (beagle & doxie x2) and our neighbors have two Great Danes, and they all apparently have this ongoing feud. If our dogs are out in the backyard (and they are most of the day when it's nice outside) and their girl Lily comes in the backyard she'll start barking at ours a...

I think it just uses a laser instead of a scalpel--less blood since the laser caulderizes (sp?) the vessels and what not while you're going and recovery time is quicker. At least that's what I THINK, don't know for sure since...

We have to do all that too which can really be a real pain in the butt, but I keep telling myself Bruiser forces me to have a clean house since I can't leave anything anywhere. :)

Paper might just be his "thing." Our beagle has a thing with shoes and paper. I can tell him drop until I'm blue in the face, but as soon as I pick up the treat container he'll come trotting over to me and drop it, I won't even have to say a word. I don't think he's doing it for attention ...

Just thought of this--there was an episode of IMOTD where a dog would chase the cat and Victoria taught the "no touch" command. I can't exactly remember how she taught it, but I think she had two balls (the dog liked to play with these if I recall correctly) and she'd roll one ball in fron...

The way we did it in puppy class was to put a dog biscuit under our foot so the dog couldn't get to it, then we'd let them attempt to get the biscuit and we'd say leave it. When they'd look away from the treat and at us we'd treat them. We continued that until they were reliable with it, then we wou...

Literally every spot on Bruiser is an itchy spot. It doesn't matter where we scratch him one or both legs start to go. I think it's because when he was a baby he had mange and was itchy all over the place all the time.

Everything I've read in other websites says to get an enzymatic cleaner that breaks up the urine so she can't smell it anymore. You might not be able to, but she can so she knows it as her potty place. When we got ours as a puppy his crate was too big, so we got a shoe box and it filled up half of t...

I completely understand you wanting to keep the dog safe and wanting no harm to come to her, but you really need to think about this before you jump right on in. If you think the cost of spaying a dog is a lot, imagine what would happen if something serious happens and she has to go to the vet for a...
