ckranz has got it - pumpkin can really help. Also, do you notice any other itching, paw licking, etc? Goldens can have a tendency for food allergies (esp chicken) which can cause a runny stool (of course, among MANY other things.)

I remember the episode with the two black labs, I think they were also dane mixes. Anyway, I believe she told them to get cheaper "people" food and mix it with dry! A great alternative.
