Re: Worried dog - confidence building?
So plan is to get some DAP, Hey Elisa....Hattie sounds very similar to Ansa with her fears...I have never used DAP, but one thing I do use which was recommended by this forum has been Dorwest Skullcap and Valarian tablets (which you can get in liquid form too) and Bach Remedy Rock Rose...I use the ...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
Aww cute pups! Hattie and I had one of those 'only in Essex' moments this morning. We went off to our local cafe for our usual breakfast and when we arrived were told that Jodie Marsh was getting changed out back for filming an interview on her celibacy ! (for those not familiar with the name ...

Re: Trixie Dog Activity game
Clever Jasper! This looks so much fun..but I think Hattie would try and hurl the button across the room like she does with a treat ball..and then try and trash the dispenser which would result in her freaking out and then be too scared to go near it again.

Judy I love your lager/vindaloo description I know...I was reading out Judy's reply to OH this morning whilst he was eating his porridge  Thanks for the input both...I was only saying to OH the other day that maybe we shouldn't be giving her so much liver in one go...as we can go from black ru...

Painful poo
Just wondering if those of you who feed raw bone have ever had problems with your dogs having a painful poop? Apparently OH said that Hattie was straining to poo tonight and when it finally came out she cried out in pain.. :( ( then apparently ran in and hid under the table in fright) apparently the...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
Hattie is never happier than when she's near you chewing her chews...near you meaning either butted up against you on the couch, on your lap or lying on your feet  ...tonight was a first tho...we'd got back from a long drive..Hattie and us had dinner, then Hattie asked if we could do some trai...

I've been diligently updating the Lady Dog and Being on Heat thread ( https://positively.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 3&start=90 ), mostly so I have a "diary" to look back at, but also incase it helps someone else. It's been really interesting to follow how its been going...particularly a...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
It was Hattie's 3rd birthday yday , so today we walked down to the pet shop and I bought Hattie one of those mini space hoppers...We then carried on down to the beach, where I let her off to go and splash in the sea...this is normally her favorite thing..however a couple of times I accidentally squi...

Re: Teaching Dog to Chew Toys
I don't think your dog will necessarily get stomach problems / become overweight if you feed the natural chews like those others have mentioned...a favorite of my dogs are tripe sticks, and dried venison...I'd avoid like the plague rawhide chews as they're bleached and all that processed dental stic...
