Re: Dixie's day at the vet
It is great news to hear the Miss Dixie is doing so well. I do hope everything goes well with the pups. I know that was shocking to you and hubby, but like the others have said, you are giving them a great start at life that they may not have had before. Hope all goes well with the pups and with Dix...

Re: Viewer Feedback on It's Me or the Dog
I would like to see something on toy aggression. My Oz is very aggressive when he has toys, especially ones that make noise and balls of any kind. He'll hide under the table and grawl and try to bite anyone or anything that comes near him and takes Connors toys and hides them too. I have tried sever...

Giardia advise
I had to take Oz to the vet yesterday. He hadn't eaten in two days and was drinking very little. He also had some runny poo issues. They tested him and said he has giardia. A parasite that he got from othe fecal matter in the yard. We live right next to a wooded area so we have alot of wild animals ...

Re: 'leave it' command w/cats
Thank you. I maybe I should have used a different subject line. I just re-read it and it looks as though I want to teach that command to my cats. I will look into these links this afternoon and hopefully they will work. The one cat trys to escape the room every chance she gets and I'm affraid the bo...

'leave it' command w/cats
I have been working with the boys on leave it command. So far they are doing very well with it. I've tried with treats and with toys and they are picking it up pretty well. I want to start it with the cats. My MIL has two cats that stay in her room because the boys chase them and I'm affraid they ar...

going poo OUTSIDE!
We have finally gotten Connor going poo outside! For the longest time he'd poo everywhere in the house. Even after taking him out for walks, as soon as we came inside, he'd poo. I tried walking right back out to the back door and walk him around the back yard but he would not poo outside! As soon as...

Re: Who are you and where's my dog???
WOW! That's great! Sounds like my Connor with kids. We have been working on that at home with some of my daughters friends when they come over. He gets aggressive and nips at their ankles (he's a min pin so can't really nip higher than that). Yesterday we were walking and some kids were outside play...

Re: Husky / Samoyed mix
I have a chow/gsd mix so I know where you are coming from. I didn't know about this site when we got him three yrs ago. I went through aobut $200 worth of brushes and combs until I found the right ones. I like the rake better than anything. It's alot more comfertable to hold when you have so much gr...

Re: Raw Food Diet
Well, I tried the raw veggies and chicken breast the day before yesterday. Connor got real sick that afternoon. I gave them one chicken breast cut into small cubes and the veggies were chopped really fine. He didn't want to eat at all yesterday. He is still active and not showing any more signs of b...

Re: Raw Food Diet
Interesting info. Thanks Emma. I thought you guys were doing the veggie cubes to trick the dog into eating them thinking its a treat. I will get some ice trays and a blender today. I have a bearded dragon and I chop her stuff up into really small pieces so I have been making extra for the boys. They...

Re: Raw food diet question
Ok, they have been on mostly raw diet for what, 3 days now. I have noticed that Connor has been pooing ALOT less and haven't noticed if Ozzy has pooed at all. Does that mean that they are absorbing more of the foods? Connors poo has been maybe 1/4 of what they were before and are like little peebles...
