Re: Snoring
He is a chow/GSD mix, so he has a normal snout, not like a pug or bulldog. The snoring has only been going on for a few months. That's why I was getting concerned. I have him on a diet, He only gets 3/4 of a cup twice a day and only gets walked twice a day now because it is too hot in the afternoon ...

Snoring
My Ozzy has started to snore real bad lately. He doesn't seem to have any kind of cold. He's not showing any symptoms of a cold, no runny nose, no sneezing, nose is wet and cold not dry and warm. Does anyone have any ideas what maybe going on? Should I be concerned about this? Could it be his weight...

WOW! That seems like an extreme change in her. I'm not one to give advise on this subject but I sure hope things work out for you and you can get this under control.

Re: HELP!! Have new kitty
They are doing better everyday. We let kitty out in the livingroom today. Ozzy, my Chow/GSD, kept kitty between his legs and wouldn't let Connor, the min-pin, too close. It was funny. I wish I had the camera ready, kitty started to punch Ozzy in the nose and Ozzy sneezed. The Kitty went right up in ...

Re: dogs helping in pregnancy
WOW! That is so cool! I love to hear stories like that. A friend of mine had a boxer and when the kids were out at the pool, she wouldn't let any of the little ones in the water unless her owner said it was OK for them to go in and she would follow them up and down the pool side until they got out o...

Re: HELP!! Have new kitty
There is no reaction from the kitten at all. No hissing, meowing. Nothing. He was laying in my arms on his back, like you'd hold a baby, while Ozzy was in the room and he didn't have any reaction with Connor either. Just a calm as could be. Mathom put his tiny paw on Ozzy's nose and Ozzy licked him ...

HELP!! Have new kitty
My husband is a firefighter and he and his crew rescued a kitten from the engine of a car. He is only about 4, maybe 5 wks old. I need some advise on how to introduce him to the dogs. I have him in a carrier when he's not in my daughters room. Ozzy seems to be doing pretty well with him so far. Oz s...

Re: Could he have been hit now and then in the past?
I wonder if it has to do with the breed of dog as well. I have a chow/gsd mix that does that, but he isn't pulling on the leash, he walks just in front of me with his head low. It doesn't look as though he is scared or anything, but more like smelling I guess. We adpoted him from the humane sociaty ...

Re: My Best Friend was Attacked **** Violence ****
OMG! I really hope that your little guy will be ok. That is aweful what happened to you and him. If your dog had bitten him and tore the tenden in his leg, he wouldn't be able to walk properly if at all. Especailly if it was in his upper thigh area and the hole in his pants being so small, sounds mo...

Re: Anybody else have a dog that does this?
My boys get the zoomies in the late afternoon. We have ceramic tile all over the house so it's hard for them to get traction, especially Ozzy because of the chow in him, he has extra fur on his paws. Connor will get going and slide under Ozzy. Connor slammed into the door frame the other day and hur...

squeeky toy to the rescue!!
I had seen on one of the last episodes of IMOTD and saw where she used a squeeky toy to recall a runaway dog. My little Connor likes to escape from time to time and we cannot catch him, just follow until he tires out and comes home. Well, tonight he took off out the door and my daughter got the litt...

Re: What made you pic the breed you have??
My guys just piked us as well. My fav, if I could've picked, are the aussie cattle dog or the siberian husky. I wish I were where you are Mattie. The pit bulls around here are normally bred to fight. They are a beautiful breed of dog, I love their little faces, but around here you cannot trust them.

Re: Giardia advise
Connor gets his vac's next month so I will make sure I ask for the giardia one as well to prevent this in the future and Ozzy isn't due for his until November but will call the to get his done when I take Connor. We can fence our yard but hubby doesn't want to. I have been after him for years to fen...

Re: What made you pic the breed you have??
We had Quasi, a chow bassett mix, yes that right, chow bassett. Short legs, long ears and body with a curly tail. I'll dig up pics of him and post later. We got him from my FIL's neighbor who was moving and wasn't taking him with them (they were just going to leave him on the streets). We had him fo...
