How much exercise does he get? You will need to arrange your house and yard so that he can't get out. Might be inconvenient but it is the only way. You can't trust children to keep doors shut etc. and the gate arrangement seems not to work - you can get high gates made especially for dogs; have you ...

Any sudden change in diet for any animal, us included, will cause upset stomach and wind. Without wanting to sound too harsh, I think 'high quality' and 'complete dry food' are mutually exclusive. Step 1= Return him to the diet that suited him Step 2= Identify what was wrong with it that made you th...

From what you tell me - and it's difficult to get all the information across on a forum :) he is not secure in being part of your household yet because he is alone so much. So he pees on the door to make it smell of him and say Hey, I live here too. I'd suggest: Take him out for a walk before you le...

Ah - if it is definitely her, and it is only happening overnight, that is easily managed. Just a bit more work for you! Letting them learn they can 'go' in the house does slow house-training down as they are not capable of working out it's okay in the house on the paper at night but not okay in the ...

Amazing how a dog walk clears your mind! Have you convicted the pup on 'circumstantial'? Have you actually seen her pee in the other dog's bed? I'm thinking your 7yo might be peeing in her own bed - either unknowingly from a bladder infection or the onset of incontinence, or else SHE is the on...

Not dominance but insecurity. Puppy may want other dog to 'mother' her, or may simply want her smell on the bed, and that's the easiest way to achieve it. Could also be that puppy needs to pee at night and can't get out. Easiest way to solve it is crate puppy when left unattended. I appreciate you d...

Hi Anette, Police dogs in UK (I can't speak for other countries) are trained to bite and hold on the arm on command, and to let go only on hearing another command - which is only known to the dog and handler, so a criminal could not know the let-go command. They receive this training as adults, when...
