Once again a creature outside my front door. This was taking up residence though, not just visiting. I had to "evict".

Walks and dealing with consistency in training
Over the last couple weeks there is an issue with Sulley where on the way home he basically starts to throw a tantrum. He jumps up on whoever is walking him and grabs at the lead. He will run around and continue to jump up and turning our back doesn't help. I started to bring really special treats o...

IMOTD - lack of love from AP
If it weren't for Facebook and this forum I would have had no idea that the new season was starting. I have AP on a lot during the day. I keep it on in the background while I'm going about my day and I see lots of advertisements for "Pit bulls and parolees", "Pit Boss" , "An...

Re: Shiloh The Catahoula!
She's lovely. I hadn't heard of this breed before I moved to the south. Seems they are pretty common in the southern states. They like their hounds down here! You mentioned she's deaf, so are you training with hand signals? How's that going?

A little Belated, but heartfelt
I really hope everyone had happy and safe holidays, and here's to a great New Year for all of us! I've not been posting much, but I am lingering on the forum still. Sulley is going on 8 months already and he's such a love. We're still continuing to socialize him. He still has a bit of puppy exciteme...

Re: Episode 301 - Menace to High Society (Jan 8)
I'm not even sure where to start. I think I'll just get to the heart of it. How did you maintain your composure so well with an owner who seemed to not only ignore your training advice, but at times argue with you? I just kept thinking the entire episode what a waste of your expertise that whole sho...

Live chats on new season? *edit
Is Victoria going to come on and hold live chats as she's done in the past? I'm watching the brand new show of the season now and how I wish I could reach through the tv and strangle the owner of Ginger. I was soo disappointed to see one of the "real housewives" on the show in the first pl...

Re: Raw Food Diet
Wonderful present!! Freezing for 3 weeks or so will kill any worms. I don't feed load-bearing bones ever, and am wary of spine and rib bones from deer because deer are usually quite old when they are shot, while domestic food animals are generally rather young when killed. Older bones are harder bo...

Re: Raw Food Diet
We got a present of a whole deer yesterday. I read that Femur bones are good for recreational bones, is that right? The processor mentioned about looking out for hookworm from the deer though, so now I'm worried. We already got rid of those when we first got Sulley. Is this something to be concerned...

Re: Sticks? yes or no
Thanks Nettle. Thats pretty much what I figured, but its always nice to bounce questions here. We never leave Sulley in the yard alone though that doesn't stop him from getting hold of things in a second when we turn away, as I'm sure you are well aware with puppies! We probably can get hold o...

Sticks? yes or no
We have maple and oak trees along with a lot of pine trees on our property. Sulley got hold of a still greenish oak stick and loved chewing it! It wasn't rotted, or dry and splintering and we watched him close to make sure he was spitting out the bits. He didn't want to fetch with it, just sit and c...

Re: Raw Food Diet
In the most recent podcast they briefly touched on raw feeding. Victoria said she didn't know a lot about it, though she had fed her own dog raw for 6 months and they solicited emails from anyone with experience feeding raw.
