Re: OMG help! puppy problems

You need to take into account that young dogs go through a fear period in adolesence. I think you need to slow this down and rethink the way you are socialising Max . Every dog is different and he has his own nature, if he is that fearful , he might never really like strangers. I would work on intro...

A dog diets can also affect it's behaviour . Some have additives and colourants that can cause a dog to act hyper.

You could be over thinking this and worrying about it too much. Give leadership a try if you like but dont worry if decide to carry on as "normal" .

Re: Tactfully Speaking to Other Dog Owners

Great idea. I think if you could get chatting first and then bring it up , they might listen . It breaks my heart to see dogs being over- corrected , usually with men its because they have been watching CM on the telly but often its becauser the owners dont know hot to train and get frustrated at th...

Re: in tears need advice

Sorry to hear this . How long has it been since you walked Buddy? Try not to panic,! Changes upset dogs and cause them to revert to previous behaviour but hopefully ,you should find that it wont take as long to bring him back to his good behaviour . BTW I blame your husband too! Re: Dog aggressive towards me!

It sounds like she is resource guarding your daughter and father. Do they feed her titbits at all? What you could do is drop treats when you approach your daughters room , dont say anything to your dog or look at her. Pretend shes not there and pass by the room dropping small treats. Once she become...

Re: training tilly

As has already been said try to train Tilly with Buddy in another room. You can buy clickers that have different tones so that each dogs knows when she is being clicked . Also You can teach Buddy , Not you . When he comes running up give a sign such as a wag of a finger ( not in a threatening way ) ...
