Re: Advise for training new dog

I dont know I haven't tried that. I know that Coco cant be left without a way to get outside to go potty (my carpet has the stains to prove it), and I'm nervouse to leave Maya downstairs cause that is where the Guinea Pig has to stay because there is very little draft down there. Saturday I am think...

Re: Pit Bulls by the Numbers

She was great with the other pits at the event. I just cant even imagine why the people hosting it would allow a dog to stay after showing so much agression (Not my dog the other one). I cant place blame on just the other dogs owner however, had I been paying attention to my surroundings I would hav...

Re: Advise for training new dog

Her fear is Coco and I cant leave her outside all day its too hot and my neighbors dogs drive her insane from the back yard and if she barks to much my side neighbors complain because they both have babies. Will Maya be fine for that period of time. I was reading other posts that said not to kennel ...

Re: Advise for training new dog

So now that I have gone almost one week with Maya and there is still a little aggression but not as much if she gets exercise and alone time with me. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to teach her that if she feels threatened to go into her Kennel. I feel bad because sometimes I am gone for lo...

Re: Advise for training new dog

I know allowing the dog to jump up on you is a possesive behavior but when Maya is introduced to my neighbors she likes to bark alot to the point that I have to pick her up to calm her down, but then when she was introduced to the baby she kind of growled at her but she did eventualy lick the babies...

Re: Pit Bulls by the Numbers

I have a hard time being around other people with her because I have had one guy who told me I needed to muzzle her because she is agressive (another story for another time maybe but I want positive vibs on this post :D) and I felt like muzzling him in the face with my hand. Pits (or any dog for tha...

Re: Pit Bulls by the Numbers

Thanks for sharing; I love my Pitty to death she is so loving she makes the best big cuddle dog ever for me. Where could you find a dog that is so abused they are taught to fight and then they can be taken into a home where they are surrounded by loving affectionate people? I speak from experience. ...

Re: Advise for training new dog

They did really well last night and Maya only got scared once and that was when I was rubbing Coco’s belly. She came up and went to sniff her and Coco's mouth fell open and her tongue fell out (she does this when her belly is scratched sometimes) I think Maya thought Coco was trying to eat her and I...

Re: Fun game ideas for my Pitbull

I am really excited to try all of these with her. She does really love to play tug of war with the rope so I probably will allow that as a reward.

Fun game ideas for my Pitbull

I've done my research on pits but I would like some advice. I love playing with her and she does know how to fetch and she loves to learn so I would like to teach her some new tricks. Here is where it gets tricky; I can’t do anything that would cause her to show any aggressive behavior because I'm a...

Re: Advise for training new dog

Should I play with them seperatly or should I keep playing with them together. I have noticed that they have start having a competition on who can get the farthest ball first and since Coco is bigger she usualy gets it first. The second attempt at fetch Maya did get agressive where the first time sh...

Re: Advise for training new dog

I see what your saying about the spray bottle but how do i show her its ok and i have it under control? Just wondering cause she was picking on coco again when we were playing outside but now she is sleeping in her bed across from her. I was thinking the second game was due to one of two things or b...

Re: Advise for training new dog

Good news for today i started maya's training and she is having difficulties but she is good at doing what commanded. She is still timid of coco but i got them to play fetch for a bit till the neighbor let out their dog and they got distracted. Maya was seemingly aggressive but it seemed as she was ...
