i am not sure how long kona has been living with you, but at only 3 months he is just a little baby regardless! crying during the night as they get used to thier new surrounds is fairly normal, its just about building confidence and security that he is in a safe place as he gets to know his new surr...

kellyzep, firstly your dogs are gorgeous! secondly, this sounds really familiar to my little one (gypsy, also pom/chi) - she was a rescue dog so still has some issues we are working through with her. most we have overcome but she is still very needy/submissive and as emmabeth said, i see the constan...

Finally (i could go on forever but i wont)... seriously, i LOVE reading your posts so much so please feel free :) the analogy with toddlers is spot on. re: thread topic, yep our little one was right on the bed from the first night home, snoring happily the entire night. the only "problem"...

hi emmabeth, thanks so much for the reply! clicker training sounds just the trick, i've been reading up on it all so that i am pretty confident that will set us both up on the right path. over the past week she has already started to settle a bit as i think she is realising this is *really* home now...
