I would look for some weather-resistant clothing... For you and your dog.

So my dog is 1 yrs old and he is trained to potty outside. Ive realized there will be times that it would be better if he had to option to potty inside because of the weather. So, I tried to tell him to potty on the puppy pads but he just rolled over on his back confused. So then I even put some of ...

YEsterday when he was getting humped at the dog park... Yep. Don't let that happen. Step in and protect your boy. But it's a challenge for an average human to catch up with off leash dogs in a dog park.... unless you are an Olympic sprinter, how are you going to be protecting him all the time? I wo...

Yes you should stop any chance of this happening, as you thought. This means watching dog/dog interaction more closely and aiming to separate the dogs before one gets on top of yours. It can only happen if you let it happen. It isn't sexual, it's bullying, and just as you wouldn't stand by and let ...

So Jack is a 1 year old Morkie. He's shy but when he opens up he's playful and great. I notice though, male dogs always try to hump him and Jack gives me a look like "Help ME!!" and I take the dogs off of him or the owner of that dog does. Thing is, it happens EVERYWHERE we go even at the ...

I do completely understand that it is hard to know what to do for the best at times, and there is SO much conflicting advice. You want to act quickly to avoid some awful disaster, and... and this is my pet theory really... there is something about the growl of a dog that DOES something to the insid...

Some dogs (quite a lot!) will use the growly sound as a chatty sort of communication - a couple of mine do and it is not at all a growl of 'i am threatened and feel uncomfortable', they are just talking to me in a grumbly growly sort of way. Either way, no matter WHY your dog growls, you must never...

No I shoved him after he growled? I thought he was being aggressive with me. Usually he'll wimper when he is ready to go outside to pee/poop. I dont know why he is growling now all of a sudden. In any case I will start taking him outside when he does growl, but I didnt want to encourage the growling...

Usually when he wants to pee or poop he goes to the door and jumps at his leash. Well, for the first time he growled at me to take him out . He is very submissive and sweet so I was in shock. I hit him lightly and told him no. He rolled over on his back and gave me his belly. Thing is, the reason I ...

to know for sure, we would have to ask him ;) There are lots of reasons that he could be doing this. but the solution would be the same...mostly...regardless of the reason. Just redirect him over to a dog pillow or pile of blankets that are his. don't make a big deal out of it because one of the re...
