This video is all over facebook with people saying how it made them cry (?!?) but the pooch just doesnt seem happy. Body is low, tail tucked, ears back, lots of lip licking - am i getting this whole body...

Re: Raw food question - extras and treats

Haha yes  I've increased the amount from 170g to 300g per meal which is a lot closer to 2-3% of her body weight, i think the amount i was allocating to treats was way too much, now her training isn't so full on she doesn't have as much as I thought. Heres a recent picture of her, shes very lean...

Re: Raw feeding in the news

Hi
Is this true:
The diet your dog should be eating is that of a grey wolf in the wild. If you dissect a dog and a grey wolf you’ll find that their digestive systems are identical. The two animals are essentially the same species and so closely related that they can interbreed.

Re: too nuts to visit other dogs

Hi! I have a 2.5yr old Lab and have had the same problem for awhile now. We too ditched the head collar, it just didnt work against her determination to go where she wanted to. We have seen a difference since we started rewarding her for calm behaviour. If a dog is approaching we put ourselves inbet...

Re: Visiting family - anxious and wont settle

Thank you this has definately given me food for thought. Pepper needs a routine when we are visiting to help her feel secure and we havent done that - feel silly for not thinking about it actually. Giving treats as a guaranteed interaction is a good idea and we can tie that in with rewarding calm be...

Re: Visiting family - anxious and wont settle

We take a blanket from her bed and have taken her duvet before, but i think its deeper than that, they dont seem to bring her comfort.
