Re: webiste issue
The thing most people do not realize is that you are not truly and 100% viewing a web site on the server. much of the web site is downloaded to your PC and stored in the browsers temp internet files cache and then you view the web site or most of it from your own PC. Some things do never download an...

Re: Something to share...
that is funny. I have a jack russel mix as well. I swear he is a little lawyer always working the grey area. One time my daughter got on his case for barking beyond reasonable at some noise. he stopped...sort of. What he did was walked away, but as he did he would turn his head look back at the door...

Re: LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE.....OR ELSE!
Is your husband a reader? do you think he would be willing to read a book? A good book that might help him is "other end of the leash". It's short, very, very easy to read and does a good job of translating human to dog and dog to human in an easy to understand way.

Re: LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE.....OR ELSE!
This might be where having a good behaviorist/trainer come in could work wonders - its hard for our OH's to listen to us and realize we are talking sense, because we are who we are - if you have a 'professional' come in he is much more likely to listen to them (especially if you can find a male one...

Re: BARKING DOG. PLEASE HELP!
This is actually a fairly common problem. I have a variation going on with my dog. Since it is so common I strongly suggest using the search feature of the forum, there are lots of variations of this problem discussed and lots of good tips. here is a recent thread dealing with "aggression"...

Re: Help, we can leave him home alone...
Kytublue, one thing that jumped out at me is what you said about your husband possibly not staying with the dog to know it's gone potty. If that turns out to be the case that is one very easy and quick thing to fix and might help with the potty in the house right off. Second. Why are you wanting to ...

Re: quality but mild wet food?
thanks for the advice. we will try no buffalo wet for a little while and try other stuff mixed with his dry. once he finished throwing up last Friday, he started perking up a bit and by dinner the next day he was more enthusiastic about eating. We got about $200 in blood work last Friday free becaus...

Re: quality but mild wet food?
phased it in over the better part of the last 2 months. we mixed in the blue buffalo into the "old" dry food about half and half, and started using the wet in January as well. He has only been exclusive blue buffalo probably this month. But I had read enough to know not to do brand A today...

quality but mild wet food?
I am trying to feed my dog higher quality food. using blue bufflo dry and wet right now. But it appears this is might be too rich for my dog. Not 100% sure yet, but we are thinking this combo is what is causing his upset tummy and "off poo". what we do is feed about 2/3 a cup of dry for hi...

Re: Poo question
went through something a little similar last week. I don't know enough to tell you to be concerned enough to go to a vet based on what you describe. But I can tell you watch your dog closely, if in addition to the odd poo your dogs behavior changes ie, low energy, signs of stress, refusal of food, n...

Re: in what order do i train my dog
if you train with your pup regularly, then factor volume of his treats into his overall daily food "ration". this should prevent over feeding and causing undesirable weight gain.

Re: Other pets - what do you have?
in addition to our dog, one spoiled rotten, but oh so lovable cockatiel who on the first day Jack came home used up half a life time of braveness. He has since lost all fear of the dog, depends on me to keep him safe and just loves to run across my keyboard while trying to play games or type.
