Re: GRRRRR rant- stupid people
Threaten to shoot his dog, we know you won't do it but he doesn't  You are entitled to shoot his dog as he is worrying your horses. you know, that might be legal is some states  ok, only joking, but there are stranger laws left on the books I believe it is in Virginia. There's a lot of yu...

I!
This is true, and I guess it's just as wrong to use shock collars on husbands as it is on dogs.

Just to let you all know that Peanut Butter is in a great place where she will receive the time and attention she needs until she can find her forever home. I never recommend re-homing unless I know there is little hope of the dog leading a happy and fufilling life in the home that it is in at the ...

I remember the dog's name was Nigel and I remember Vic coming at the woman with a big street broom so the woman could see
how grooming time looked from the dog's point of view. Yeah that was one of the issues as well. Anyway I hope this helps! I've always loved Vic's visual aides!!

Re:
, I'm pretty sure the law is 3 reported bitings and the dog has to be put down. However, if there is a mauling, generally the dog is ruled as a dangerous dog and is to be put down immediately after the quarantine period is over. That sounds similar to the Dangerous Dog law the county I live in (Mon...

Postive training can work on cats too!
Well, up to a point! Anyway, one of my three cats loves to go outside. He stays in the backyard, so I let him. Anyway, when it's time for him to come in, I will call him. He almost always comes right up me, and I always pick him up, pet him, and tell him what a good kitty he is. It was just s...

Re: Exercise & rainy days
Several years ago, the two dogs I had at the time were going NUTS because it was a rainy weekend. I finally said enough, put on some boots, grabbed an umbrella, and drove the dogs up to the fields where I still walk the dogs I have now. Those two dogs had a blast! An hour later, we were all spattere...

Re: Question about the show!!
Wasn't that the one where Roxy's owner had used a shock collar with horrendous results? Based on advice from some other trainer? I also remember that the owner was using one of those squirt collars--who could forget the dog's reaction? I'd react the same way--trust me on that!

Re: Victoria - CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES ON THE US SHOWS!!
Hey, as long as those parts of the body that society dictates must be covered, are indeed covered, I don't care what covers them.
I had no idea that some dogs would find a change of clothes stressful.

The Cell Phone Guy--you've more patience than I do!
I'm talking about the incident in the park with Mr. Important. Vic's trying to show him the correct way of leash training, or recall, or something, I don't remember, but she turns and the guy is on his cell phone! :x I was infuriated and I was just watching! So, did Victoria actually leave, or did s...

Merlin thought adding pineapple was the sweet course, he enjoyed eating his poo even more. . So much for that idea. :? Emmabeth, thanks for that answer; it cleared up a lot of things. I'm trying to teach my dogs how to ring a bell--need advice
I would like to teach my dogs how to ring a bell when they want in, instead of scratching on the (new) door. I've already hung some bells next to the door and am trying to get them to at least pay attention to it, but I haven't had much luck. At some point, I would like them to know that if they paw...

Cracker I will have to try that! I happen to own Michael Jordan's love child. Flanders doesn't jump on me so much any more, but when we get to the local dog park, she's just so excited she can't contain herself! You'd think she never went out at all! Most people take her jumping in stride, bu...
