Iirc, you were considering a gsd. I strongly recommend you rethink that choice. It seems it would not be a good fit for you.

I'm so sorry. I hope chance is ok.................... I know you know what I'm going to say but maybe the tears are not allowing you to see clearly. For me, sometimes knowing the why of things helps me deal with the consequences. As you're aware, arousal can turn off the hearing and also stress, eve...

I'm curious, it required an ambulance for a bite from a 13 week old, small breed puppy? Are you sure this wasn't just a case of puppy zoomies that resulted in unwanted, inappropriate play from a puppy that did not have good bite inhibition?

Re: What has your smart dog figured out?
We had two policemen in our house at 12 midnight yesterday (this morning?) and by 12:30 Scout had one of them fully trained in squeaky-egg toy kicking. So much so that he felt the need to leave the room to play with her so as not to squeak in the same room as the upset girl in the room (everything ...

And yesterday I saw a young lass (about 14) being towed along by a young collie (about 5 months) on an extending lead :? that was pulling like a freight train and nearly had her over a few times. Poor girl was gasping "Molly....Molly....Molly" as a sort of litany as she was dragged along....

It wound me up that much that I was physically shaking and the woman wasn't even phased when I told her that her dog nearly got run over! Sweetie, you need to learn to let things slide. If you were actually, in truth, physically shaking from this encounter you're going to have a tough road a...

Breeze pees like a horse, a horse that pees all over his front feet that is, every time he does his 'proper' emptying peeing. Sorry. I showed a friends male Irish wolfhound several months ago. Right before ring time I took him out for a pee. You're absolutely right, they pee with the volume and dur...

Been busy helping a friend with her new litter so my dogs are being neglected. Mother isn't wanting to eat so puppies are requiring tube feeding to keep them going while mom's appetite returns (and milk drops)

As I've mentioned a few times, Laufey won't pee in the garden Why not work on this? Honestly, you have a garden, many people don't so lucky you! Don't continue to set 'he won't allow", or 'he won't do it" barriers up for yourself. ............start making your garden the place he pee's. W...
