Baby wipes can be used on a dog? Even in spots that they can lick?

Re: Don Sullivan's command collar

I've never heard of a device that mimics Mom. The only area I can think of to mimic mom is by removing a very young puppy from one area to another by picking it up by the nape of the neck. Not in a mean spirited way, but kind of like a time out. Hmm.. can a person really MIMIC the way a momma dog p...

Attacking while I'm on the floor!

Every time I'm on the floor (kneeling, sitting, laying down, basically anything at her level) Cadence will start "attacking" me! I know it's just play but she will get right up in my personal space, literally right in my face, and start pouncing, jumping, pawing, and even pinning me down w...

Bones Cracking??

Sometimes when Cadence stretches, I hear a small "pop" sound of her bones cracking, much like when you crack your fingers. Is this normal for dogs?? She'll be two years old in October if it's just an age related thing..

Re: How to toilet train your puppy or adult dog.

Hi Mattie this post really helped! I do have one question though. My 15 week old puppy is starting to regress a little bit. We have had him almost 3 weeks and he had been doing well with minor accidents. The past couple of days he is crying and barking uncontrollably at night in his crate and when ...

Re: more venting..

And Forkin14, I was bitten by a horse before, too, except I was bitten in the butt! Where were you bitten? The shoulder and my ENTIRE shoulder like got into the horses mouth because I was so tiny  Forkin, congrats on your success! Good for you for being able to do it with the two broken finger...

Re: more venting..

YES YES YES!!!  Amazing success on walking (hope I'm not jinxing it..) but since I have two lame fingers I had to figure out a way to loose leash train her, since with Mattie's method she normally sped right past me each time I turned around, I couldn't have much control over her....

Re: Any Advice For Improvement?

HunniBunni, No offense but nobody needs you to speak up for them. Mattie has apologized, or did you not see that? Don't come onto this persons thread about helping their dog about your petty need for attention. Buddy'smyboy was not even as "outraged" as you were even when the words were ag...

Well, it's always good to have options!! Most people have a hard enough time finding one job offer, let alone more than one!

Hope that call comes soon.. with good news of course! :D

Re: Not Food Motivated

Any toys that she has that get her excited? Like squeaky toys or even something as simple as a tennis ball? If so, you can use one of those. Find a toy or two that she only gets when training so she doesn't become bored with them. Have you tried peanut butter with her, because you can always put som...

Re: Rescued Bloodhound - never been on a leash - where to start

How can I teach him to Fetch? He will run toward the ball but won't bring it back. If i throw the ball he seems to have a hard time finding it, but if I roll it he can follow it. He just may not be the fetching kind. I'd say play more bloodhound games, like "find it" games :D And wow, he ...
