I'm so glad I've seen this thread.
I haven't been on the forum for quite a while, because quite honestly I'm rather embarrassed by our behaviour (I won't go into that now). But I want to say a huge huge THANK YOU for all the help I've received here, and I am extremely grateful to you all.

Re: Thyroid testing
Thanks RLTW. Was there a reason you sent the blood to Jean rather than have your usual vet analyse it, and did the results give you good insight and a solution to your dogs problem ? Also, was your vet quite happy to take the sample, and did you send off the sample or did your vet ? Sorry to ask so ...

Thyroid testing
I know this has been mentioned on her before, but has anyone used Jean Dobbs (or Dodds) thyroid testing service for aggression or epilepsy?
Or any thyroid testing service elsewhere ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: So sad and confused
Thank you all so much for your hugs, they're really appreciated. We've been to see the vet who operated on Heidi today. She didn't know why Heidi became so ill, and unfortunately the blood analysis tests were cancelled because they weren't needed once she had been pts. We're really upset and surpris...

So sad and confused
Hello All, Sorry I haven't been on here for a while, but life's overflowing with personnel problems, and I'm pretty much emotionally drained. But I had to tell you my sad news - we've lost our precious dalmation Heidi. We had no choice but to have her pts on Friday, and I'm finding it very hard to m...

Re: Introducing Peanut!!
I take it you've had no joy finding Peanut , wickedhippy. Is there any chance you can contact your local newspaper and give them a photo of Peanut and ask them to appeal for help in finding him. I know where we live if the owners can manage to get a story in the local paper (the free ones as well) m...

Re: Hi from Dorset
Hi JudyN and welcome.
Three out of four of our most recent dogs, started out belonging to our adult children, and we have ended up with them for one reason or another.
And like yourself I thought I knew quite a lot, until I found this site - and now I learn something new everyday.
