Re: Puppy sits down
Hi, Speaking as someone who has been through that whole pup not wanting to leave to house to go on walks or just sitting down and not moving in the street..I'd say..number one, regardless of the fact that we can't always appreciate that there's anything to be scared at, your pup is definately feelin...

Re: Vent!
i spent the first 10 years of my adult life working with competition horses. My first job was working for a big dealer in the South, I was earning a pittance, I had one week off in 6, but rode 7 /8 horses a day and had access to the best hacking out country you could imagine..Many jobs and years lat...

Re: The problem with Poppy
I hear where you're coming from Bendog...Hattie is also a little stress head terrier, though not as high octane as Poppy it seems...and sometimes when she is having one of her 'i'm not budging from this spot, it's all too much for me moments' , when there's is nothing apparent to my eyes or ears, i ...

Re: The ladydog and being on heat
he b itch going into heat is crackling with power. I hate to say 'status' because it has echoes of all the pack rules nonsense, and it isn't like that at all. She is 'woman', she is mystery, she is survival, she is ' I am!'. this really made me smile, and totally described my normally submissive li...

Re: Teaching 'settle'
Is there anyone else around when you're cooking that could hang out at the stair gate with sweetie and treat her for being quiet...I guess it would take a while to build up the tolerance to the level where you could be on your own with her when you're cooking and toss her random treats for being goo...

Re: Crufts 2014

I thought the champion of each breed went through to the group final, does that mean t...
